Set in the enchanting Baia di Citara, the Poseidon Thermal Gardens is the biggest thermal park on the island of Ischia. Its highly healing thermal waters feed over twenty swimming pools surrounded by greenery. Its worldwide fame makes this oasis of relaxation one of the main attractions of our green island.
The park covers an area of six hectares and the swimming pools are located along its terraces, with water temperatures ranging from 28°C to 40°C. Three seawater swimming pools designed for sporty swimming and for the enjoyment of children. In the wellness path you will have access to a thermal steam cave according to the Greco-Roman tradition dug into the tuff, three "Kneipp" paths (alternating 40° C/15°C) with a circulatory effect and a vascular exercise path for the lower limbs.
The thermal park also boasts an exclusive health and wellness centre and a 500 Mt quiet private beach, with the characteristic natural raffia umbrellas, made by a local craftsman, symbol of the Poseidon Thermal Gardens.
The cornerstone of the Poseidon Thermal Gardens is the protection and enhancement of a unique landscape in the world. The company is among the first on the island of Ischia embracing an eco sustainable philosophy, promoting virtuous behaviour to safeguard the environment, starting with the adoption of a plastic-free policy.
For this reason, the use of plastic bottles, plates and glasses, pizza and sandwich wrapping has been abolished, and a virtuous process has been activated for the return and reuse of packaging, to prevent it from becoming "disposable". Thanks to these and other small measures, there has been a significant reduction in waste production.
The thermal waters are not treated with chemical products, this guarantees guests a very high-quality water and a reduced environmental impact by emptying the pools.
The flora is treated against parasite attacks using completely natural products, such as nettle infusions or other organic remedies. Likewise, the fertilization of the soil is always carried out with organic products, i.e., the composting of pruning clippings.
Attention to the environment and the green philosophy of the park can also be found in the use of raffia sunbeds and umbrellas made by local artisans with natural materials.
