Tenuta del Cannavale

The “Tenuta del Cannavale” is an organic farm in the municipality of Barano d’Ischia. Approximately 20,000 square metres of land, set in an enchanting setting, the Cannavale hill, 370 meters above sea level. Two hectares cultivated with a wide variety of vegetables and fruit, including a beautiful Biancolella vineyard in partnership with D’Ambra Vini, the oldest winery of Ischia.

The Greek culture of the “garden vineyard” is strongly felt at the farm. A place where all four natural elements are perfectly blended according to the conception of the kepos: the Greek garden where orchard, vegetable garden and vineyard are part of the same landscape, integrating with the surrounding vegetation and enhancing its liveability and hospitality.

The “organic” certification of the products, obtained by respecting very rigorous practices that impose greater effort on producers, rewards both environment and consumers.

The production chain follows the best environmental practices in compliance with protection of natural resources and animal welfare criteria.

At Tenuta del Cannavale you can purchase locally-sourced organic products, upon reservation. There you can have lunch on the beautiful terrace overlooking the sea: ranging from the zampognaro bean, a native species of Piano Liguori to his majesty the Coniglio all’ischitana. Rabbits are raised in the ancient way, i.e. in ditches, as a breeding practice that brings greater well-being to the animal and to the product that ends up on the table.

The farm is located along one of the most popular trekking routes, set through a lush green area with breathtaking landscapes.
